Embarking on the incredible journey to breathe new life into our client’s Spanish colonial bathroom was more than a renovation; it was a profound transformation that skillfully interwove the rich history of their home with the alluring elements of modern luxury. Within the modest confines of an 11½ by 6¾ feet space, we dared to dream big, envisioning a layout that would revitalize every square inch of this historic Spanish colonial home nestled in the heart of Miami. 

Drawing inspiration from the aged beauty of the existing tiles throughout this home, our mission was clear—to stay faithful to the architectural style of the home and pay homage to its legacy. The catalyst for this transformative project was the decision to replace the adjacent bedroom, ultimately giving rise to a new bathroom and an adjoining hallway complete with a makeup vanity.

The resulting bathroom layout is a testament to simplicity and sophistication. A strategically positioned vanity on one side, a large walk-in shower on the other, and a discreetly located toilet in between create a harmonious flow. The introduction of two large windows opposite the entrance floods the space with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness and tranquility.

One standout feature is undeniably our custom reeded vanity, a masterpiece crafted with love and meticulous attention to detail. The reeded details exude sophistication, while the durable wood ensures longevity. Cleverly designed sneaky storage maintains functionality without compromising the laid-back vibe we aimed to achieve. Crowned with a statement tile and a creamy quartz countertop, our vanity stands as a symbol of the seamless union between form and function.

At the heart of our renovation lies the painstakingly chosen tiles that grace every surface. The hand-painted terracotta tiles on the vanity wall and strategically placed niches in the shower radiate a unique charm, infusing the space with artistic flair. The Zia herringbone floor tiles and glazed zellige tiles in the shower come together in a mesmerizing mosaic that not only pays homage to the home’s history but also embraces contemporary aesthetics with open arms.

Our walk-in shower boasts a personalized touch, featuring a custom glass door, dual shower heads, and a cozy bench. We revel in the finer details and make it a point to delve into the personal aspects of our clients’ preferences. This isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about understanding their daily routines and lifestyles. Armed with this knowledge, we craft spaces that resonate with their unique needs and habits.
